RF Awareness Training
Personnel have to be trained to safely conduct site visits and gather information required for compliance assessment. Training programmes should stress the following elements:
- Basics of RF radiation and antennas.
- Health risks at base station sites.
- RF hazard zones at sites, including transmitters of partners at shared sites.
- Procedures for controlling RF safety.
- Personal RF measurement devices.
Understanding of these elements are typically evaluated with simple short answer tests after which candidates may be certified as qualified site surveyers.
