It is important to note that as no communications network is static in configuration, sites will have to be revisited and controls monitored to ensure compliance in an ever changing environment. The process for compliance assessment should have high levels of automation to ensure that compliance can be established rapidly and accurately whenever changes or additions are made to the network. Documentation should be available instantly for various levels of interest. Documents that are commonly used that should be readily available include:
- Environmental reports aimed at the public, stating the compliance status and compliance measures in place for each site.
- Site management reports aimed at occupational use, stating the controls involved in working at the site and procedures to be followed.
- Compliance certificates aimed at management and audits of
compliance.
